Adopt-a-Home

Full Sponsorship

Fund and Build One Habitat Home:

Full Sponsorship: A sponsor provides $85,000 in cash or in-kind donations to purchase construction materials and to pay for skilled labor (placing the slab, electrical, plumbing, and stucco) for one house. Volunteers from the sponsoring organization have the opportunity to build the home alongside the homeowner during a 15-week period.

Partial Sponsorship

Fund and Build Part of a Habitat Home

Partial Sponsorship: Up to four sponsors share the cost of building one home; funding options include: 25%, 50%, or 75%. Partial donors also share the volunteer labor opportunity and the recognition for sponsorship. A home must be 100% funded before breaking ground.

Coalition Sponsorship

A coalition is a partnership of community groups whether faith based, civic, educational or a host of others that join together to donate the funds and volunteer labor needed to sponsor one Habitat home. Although there is no minimum pledge to join a coalition, many coalitions contain a cornerstone organization that agrees to sponsor 50% of the home. Home construction may begin once 100% of the funds are collected. Faith based coalitions can be of the same or various denominations. Habitat for Humanity works with people of all faiths and beliefs. A coalition is an excellent way for various community groups to work together on a single project while sharing financial and volunteer resources.

Other Sponsorship Opportunities

Habitat for Humanity is open to any sponsorship proposals and welcomes all cash or in-kind donations for home construction.

Benefits of Sponsorship

A full home sponsorship, $85,000, will allow us to purchase construction materials and to pay for skilled labor (placing the slab, electrical, plumbing and stucco) for one house. Sponsor benefits include:

  • Volunteers from the sponsoring organization build the home alongside the homeowner every Saturday during the 12-15-week build period. Many corporations use the volunteer piece of the Habitat plan as a teambuilding experience. Volunteering provides an opportunity to become involved in work that is both challenging and rewarding, but most importantly, it is an experience that will have a lasting positive impact on our community.
  • Participation in the home dedication ceremony where the outstanding achievements of volunteers who participated in the home’s construction are recognized.
  • A thank you picture plaque and a digital picture book showcasing the construction of the home and the organization’s employee volunteers throughout the build.
  • Collaboration to create marketing opportunities that further enhance the positive sponsor and volunteer relationships within our community.
  • Recognition in Habitat communications (Web and print) and signage at the work site for the duration of the home construction.

A half home sponsorship, $42,500, will allow us to purchase construction materials and to pay for skilled labor (placing the slab, electrical, plumbing and stucco) for half of one house. Benefits to a $42,500 home sponsor include:

  • Volunteers from the sponsoring organization build the home alongside the homeowner during six or more weeks out of a 12 to15-week period. Many corporations use the volunteer piece of the Habitat plan as a teambuilding experience, bringing together employees who normally do not interact, and allowing them to work together on a common goal.
  • Partnership with another sponsor (corporate or individual donor) that would maximize the volunteer and recognition benefits, as well as sharing the cost of home sponsorship.

A quarter home sponsorship, $21,250, allows organizations to share the cost of building one home with three additional organizations. A home must be 100% funded before breaking ground. Benefits to a $21,250 sponsor include:

  • Volunteers from the sponsoring organizations share in the labor time, each receiving three or four build days out of the 12 to 15-week build schedule.
  • Recognition in Habitat communications (Web and print) and signage at the work site for the duration of the home construction.
  • Participation in the home dedication ceremony where the outstanding achievements of volunteers who participated in the home’s construction are recognized.
  • A thank you picture plaque and a digital picture book showcasing the construction of the home and the organizations employee volunteers throughout the build.
  • Collaboration to create marketing opportunities that further enhances the positive sponsor and volunteer relationships within our community.
